At times during a virtual classroom session, you may encounter some issues with your sound or microphone. Here is a list of possible issues and solutions for avoiding them:
The reasons for those occurences may be as follows:
The reason for that is that the participant in question is not using a headset and their audio feed is being captured by their microphone, thus projecting your voice (or video playback for example) back into the virtual classroom. This causes an unpleasant echo effect, which may disrupt the normal flow of the session.
We strongly recommend that the Teacher and all of the students use a headset in order to avoid such issues. Since headsets project sound at a more limited and targeted range than speakers can, this way you would eliminate the possibility of the audio you hear being captured by your microphone.
When participants are using a microphone and speakers, the sound coming from the speakers can be captured by their microphone, thus creating a feedback loop and generating acoustic feedback.
We strongly recommend that the Teacher and all of the Students use a headset in order to avoid such issues.
Sound disruptions may occur due to hardware problems with a participant’s microphone or by interruptions to your internet connection. To check if hardware is the reason, the teacher or participant should first try changing their headset.
